Arkansas Arrest Custody on VINE
The state's custody-notification service goes by Arkansas VINE, short for Victim Information and Notification Everyday. The Arkansas Crime Information Center (ACIC) runs it. The Arkansas Department of Corrections (DOC) page explains which systems feed into it, including participating county jails, the Arkansas Division of Correction (ADC), people on probation, parole, or post-release supervision, and court information from prosecuting attorneys' offices. Reach the same statewide service by phone or through VINELink.
VINE does two things. You can check custody or case details, then register for a free notice when a covered status changes. It is built around one known person or case, not browsing. It is not a list of recent Arkansas arrests, a photo archive, or a log of every law-enforcement contact.
The official Arkansas VINE page outlines the covered systems, the search fields, and the transfer schedule. The scope beats any single county jail roster. Still, each result depends on the system that supplied it. The VINELink search screen is the online entry point for selecting Arkansas and looking up a custody record.

Remember that this is a search tool. Counties do not all share the same fields, and a fresh booking may not appear yet.
Search Arkansas Arrests by Identifier
Use VINELink when the question is whether a person is in a covered custody system or whether a case event has changed. The state instructions accept one or more identifiers, so a name can be paired with a booking number or case number when those details are known.
- Open VINELink and select Arkansas as the state. Use the state option even if the arrest began with a city or county agency.
- Enter a name, offender or booking number, case number, ADC number, or supervision PID, a personal identifier for probation, parole, or post-release supervision. Use only identifiers that belong to the person or case being checked.
- Review every close match. Compare date of birth, county, booking or offender number, and custody location before opening a result.
- Read the status and location shown, then register for an alert if a future release, transfer, or covered case event matters.
A name alone can pull up several people. Never grab the first similar name and call it a match. A date of birth or other identifier separates them, and a county with location tells you whether the result fits the arrest you are checking.
Note: A zero-result search can reflect a spelling difference, transfer, release, timing lag, or a record outside the systems covered by Arkansas VINE.
What an Arkansas VINE Record Shows
A match can draw on jail, prison, court, or supervision records. The fields differ by source. A jail result answers custody, while a court event is a separate update.
| Field | What the Arkansas result may show |
|---|---|
| Person and identifier | Name, offender number, date of birth, or a booking or ADC number tied to the source record. |
| Custody | Current custody status, location, and a scheduled release date when supplied. |
| State corrections | For DOC information, a parole or post-release-supervision eligibility date may appear. |
| Court | Event type and the date, time, and location of a next court event, when available. |
| Supervision | Probation, parole, or post-release-supervision type, supervising office, and case status. |
A booking entry does not settle the case. VINE may report court events. Even so, a public docket or the clerk's record is the better place to review filings, orders, and disposition details. Custody status can also change after a release or transfer. Note the time of your lookup and check again if a later event matters.
Register for Arkansas Custody Alerts
You register for a selected person or case. Sign-up can start from the online match or by calling the toll-free VINE line. Pick a contact method that will actually reach you. Keep the PIN handy. VINE uses that personal identification number to confirm phone notices. Online options can include phone, email, text message, or a TTY text telephone where offered.
- Open the matching record and choose the alert or notification option. Confirm that the person and custody location match the intended case.
- For phone notices, enter a telephone number with its area code. Follow the online prompts for email, text, or TTY delivery if that option is available.
- Create and enter a four-digit PIN. The phone system may ask for that PIN to confirm a call and stop repeat attempts.
- Keep the contact details current. If a phone number or email changes, update the registration through VINELink or the VINE phone service.
Arkansas VINE offers English and Spanish service plus a live operator by phone. The statewide VINE line is 1-800-510-0415. Technical help sits at 1-800-865-4314. TTY access is 1-866-847-1298. These are statewide service numbers, not a county jail's records line.
Alert events cover normal, bond, and court-order release. Parole or pardon counts as well. Escape, death, transfer, furlough, court hearings, and case disposition also count. A supervision registration can also flag changes tied to probation or post-release supervision. The event type matters, since each notice follows its own calling pattern.
Normal-call notices repeat every 30 minutes, Arkansas VINE says. That pace lasts up to 24 hours or until you confirm with the PIN. An answering machine may keep calls coming every two hours for a day. Other notice types use different schedules. Keep the PIN private and follow the current instructions the service displays.
Note: Registration helps deliver a notice, but it does not make VINE an emergency contact system or a substitute for direct agency confirmation.
If an alert raises an immediate safety concern, call 911. Do not approach someone because of a notification; contact law enforcement instead.
Arkansas Custody-Record Transfer Timing
Arkansas posts separate data-transfer intervals for each system component. Those intervals help when comparing a county booking, a DOC move, and a court event. They measure how often information moves to VINE, not how fast an intake is accepted or a new record displays.
| Source system | Published transfer interval |
|---|---|
| County jails | Every 15 minutes, at all hours, every day. |
| Arkansas DOC | Every hour, at all hours, every day. |
| Court information | Once per day. |
| Probation, parole, and post-release supervision | Once per day. |
One delay sits on top of the data itself. After VINE receives a transfer record, notification calls wait two hours before going out. The feed moves first. The alert follows later. When a transfer changes an immediate plan, skip the wait. Call the facility or the agency holding the person instead.
Fresh bookings take longer still. Intake work must finish before a record reaches the source feed, and a person can be released or moved to another jail in the meantime. The transfer table will not say which county received someone or whether that county has already sent the record.
Arkansas VINE County-Jail Custody Checks
Arkansas treats county jails as one VINE data category. The state publishes no county-by-county participation roster, though, with a proof page for each jail. A missing VINE link means nothing by itself. No Arkansas county stands confirmed as a nonparticipant. So treat county jail coverage as a statewide system route, then confirm any single booking with the county holding the person.
The DOC is different. The state names it explicitly as a VINE source, and it covers the Arkansas Division of Correction population. It does not track every county intake. Nor does it capture every arrest made in Arkansas.
No confirmed county-by-county VINE roster exists for Arkansas. Check any fresh booking with the receiving jail; no county is named as a nonparticipant.
A missing VINE result does not prove no arrest took place. Records lag, and custody checks have real gaps.
Confirm a Fresh Arkansas Arrest
VINE has firm limits. It is not a complete historical arrest database. It is not a guaranteed booking-photo service or a court disposition archive. Federal and immigration systems sit outside it. Someone held by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, ICE, a municipal facility, or an out-of-state agency may never appear. A zero result can mean a transfer, a release, a spelling difference, a sealed record, or an intake delay.
The DOC offender search is a separate custody tier. The Arkansas inmate population search covers the Division of Correction population, not a county booking feed. A state-prison profile belongs to a later or different custody path than a county arrest. It may show custody details and a photo where the interface supplies one. But it replaces neither VINE nor a local jail roster. View the official Arkansas inmate-search interface for the DOC population.

That screen only helps when the person may be in DOC custody. It is the wrong first check after a fresh county arrest.
Federal sentences take a different route. The Bureau of Prisons inmate locator sits apart from Arkansas VINE. It is not a county jail record source. It does not guarantee a booking photo either.

For an arrest believed to have happened very recently, call the receiving county jail or records office. Ask whether the person was accepted, transferred, released, or held under another agency. The statewide 24 Hour Arrests overview contrasts county same-day and short-window views, and the Arkansas recent-arrests page maps the wider official search path.
Note: VINE can help track a custody change, while the receiving jail remains the direct source for a new intake and current location.
